Mylaki is one of Lafarge Holcim’s largest limestone quarries in Greece. We have been hired to provide aggregate material for their cement production. Initially, we perform the design of the blasting round. We carry out drilling at the appropriate depth and proceed with executing the blasting. This happens across many levels of the quarry in order to achieve adequate reserves. Afterwards, we load the aggregate material to the dump trucks with the use of wheel loaders. The trucks in turn haul the material to the crusher. The number and size of the dump trucks and the wheel loaders is determined by the peak capacity of the crusher and the distance. Moreover, we perform mine conformation by utilizing bulldozers, hydraulic breakers and drilling machines depending on the quarry surfaces’ demands.
